POSITION:  Business Manager, Operations
LOCATION:  New Jersey and other unanticipated sites including the southern U.S. Region


DUTIES:  Manage new and existing pallet service provider relationships as well as maintain and expand activities within PALNET. Manage Southern U.S. territory. Develop a Standard Operation Procedures program (SOP) nationwide that includes, licensing, rules of engagement, penalties, audits and benefits. Manage pallet bids. Design pallet layouts with the use of Pallet Design System Software, quote these designs among different service providers across the country to get the most competitive price and comply with customer's needs. Supply pallets under contract and SOP specifications. Interact with Customers and Service Providers directly providing problem resolution. Develop relationships throughout the network. Make periodic visits, exploring specific needs, anticipating new opportunities by identifying customer requirements and defining the competitor's strengths and weaknesses. Utilize Pallet Design System software and Kazan. Act as a key team member with Sales and Finance charged with developing, implementing and meeting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, projecting expected costs, analyzing trends and results, establishing improvement strategies, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions. Manage service providers in PALNET's account and tracking systems. Create and maintain PALNET contracts with service providers nationwide as pallet requirements and prices change. Negotiate price and term modifications with the customers and service providers. Develop a coil and bulk nail supply program for facilities in and out our network as a secondary branch for PALNET. Manage logistics and distribution of nails from Mexico. Develop and negotiate nail customers across the country. Design nail gun repair program, by managing nail gun sales and implement leasing programs nationwide. Manage gun repair program service with Mexican-American repair shops to serve gun repairs for PALNET's gun repair program partners. Report to PALNET President through weekly meetings. Employer paid domestic and international travel involved 50% of the time to destinations across the U.S.A. and Northern Mexico.

REQUIREMENTS:  This position requires a master's degree or its foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management plus 1 year of experience as a manager or supervisor in the pallet industry. In the alternative, the employer will accept a bachelor's degree plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience or any suitable combination of the above provided it meets the actual minimum requirements of the position.
